50-60'S

The Chaux-de-Fonds watches, undeniably elegant, are the demonstration of how important it was to dress smartly in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Flawless models from a stylistic point of view: a lovely lens-shaped case, a beautiful thin bezel, handsome lugs welded beneath the case so that the weld cannot be seen. The revealing detail here is the thin bezel of the two watches. Making such thin bezels was not easy (and still isn’t), and not all the brands were capable of doing it: the thinner the bezel, the more necessary it was to do a precision work in order to fix the crystal on the bezel and the bezel itself on the case body. The markers are similar on both watches: engraved in the dial and very long, according to the fashion of the period. The two watches are a symbol of the spare style and of the elegance that Philip Watch has carried on over the years.
