40'S

As early as the start of the past century, chronographs were the most appreciated watches because they were considered authentic professional instruments.

In particular the 1940’s Chrono Philippe Watch displays an excellent design both in its aesthetic and technical details. The case is made of chrome-plated brass while the convex back is in stainless steel, a characteristic explicitly indicated precisely to point out its excellence. From the aesthetic standpoint the watch harks back to previous models, starting from the logo, which still presents the old “Philippe Watch” spelling. The dial is extremely refined, rich in information and easily readable. The thin porcelain disc, slightly convex and cold- enamel printed in two colors, still preserves its original chromatic brightness. The Breguet hands are flame-blued, a refined solution that offered excellent readability against the white of the dial.
